Over 600 customers without power in Enderby

ENDERBY –  B.C. Hydro is reporting a large power outage in the Mabel Lake Road area.

Spokesperson Jennifer Walker-Larsen says a tree went down around 1:30 p.m., severing power from 679 customers.

Repair crews are on their way, and Walker-Larsen expects power to be back on around 4:30 p.m.

“At this time of year often it’s wind… or heavy snow bringing trees or branches down,” she says, adding over half of power outages are caused by trees.

Outage updates from B.C. Hydro are available on its website.
