iN VIDEO: What was that mysterious, eerie sound heard in Kamloops?

A Kamloops resident began shooting video when a strange, eerie sound interrupted her smoke break.

Corinna Scurt was on the North Shore between McDonald Park and MacArthur Island when she heard the noises. She pulled out her phone after hearing the creepy sound eight or nine times and caught the tail end of the weird phenomenon. 

“I’ve never heard anything like it before,” Scurt says. “I’ve been watching some of the videos people have been sending me of similar sounds all over the world… I always thought there was no way those videos were real, until last night.”

Scurt shared the video to her Facebook page last night, Feb. 5, and it has already racked up more than 1,700 views. People from other areas of town also claim they heard the noise.

Some people chimed in with their theories, guessing it may be from the local pulp mill, a wounded animal or a foghorn. Some suggested it may be from a nearby train, but Scurt says there was no train going by when she heard the sounds.

“Maybe someone out there knows for sure what it could be," Scurt says. "I’m still at a loss.”
