TOP 100 OKANAGAN PROPERTIES WORTH $310 MILLION
OKANAGAN – Before you begin complaining about property assessments soon to hit your mailbox, consider the poor folks paying taxes on homes worth more than $7 million.
This year, the two most expensive properties in the entire Okanagan are worth more than $7 million. That's about $50,000 in taxes this year to City of Kelowna.
The B.C. Assessment Authority has again spilled the beans on the region's most expensive real estate, complete with addresses. See map below for the top 10 most expensive residential properties—all in the Central Okanagan.
The assessors say most of the 210,000 properties in the South, Central and North Okanagan will remain roughly the same. Together, they represent roughly $95 billion in property.
But the 100 most expensive properties alone represents a whopping $381 million. All of them are worth more than $3.4 million. Fifty-eight are worth more than $4 million; 21 are worth more than $5 million and five are worth more than $6 million.
Keep in mind, this is only assessed value. Sale prices may vary widely.
