Pickup truck crashes into Kamloops home

Kamloops RCMP were called to the Aberdeen neighbourhood after a pickup truck drove into the front of a house.

RCMP say the male driver was visiting the house in the 600 block of Fleming Drive and apparently "failed to navigate the driveway in a safe manner."

His pickup crashed into the front of the house, but neither the driver nor the resident within the home were injured, according to an RCMP media release

“He was tested and impairment is not a factor. He just failed to navigate the driveway so we suspect its driver error,” Kamloops RCMP media liaison officer Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says.

The vehicle will remain in the house until a structural engineer assesses the damage and ensures it is safe to remove the vehicle.
