iN PHOTOS: Bride and groom hit the slopes at Sun Peaks in full wedding attire
While some may stick with traditional wedding photos for their special day, this bride and groom decided to make their wedding album stand out in a unique and fun way.
A Sun Peaks photographer recently captured photos of a newly wed couple who wanted their photos taken while snowboarding on Saturday, Feb. 15.
According to Nancy Critchley, the photographer, the couple, Alysa Attema and Trevor Thompson, asked her if she could ski while taking photos, and she replied yes.
"It was great, they are from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and they have had holidays here (Sun Peaks) since the beginning of their relationship. They love it here," Critchley says.
The bride and groom both snowboarded down the hill in their wedding garb as Critchley and her second photographer Nikki Fredrikson captured photos.
"The wedding dress boarding was really unique, she was a real trooper," she says, adding the wedding dress was very large.
