Kamloops MP endorses Erin O’Toole as Conservative leader
Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo MP Cathy McLeod is backing Ontario MP Erin O’Toole as the future leader of the Conservative party.
O’Toole was elected as MP in the region of Durham, which lies east of Toronto and includes cities like Oshawa and Whitby. In a series of tweets, McLeod says O’Toole understands B.C. issues and said she would like to “(unite) together and take Canada back.”
Our nation is in crisis, from the pulp mill closure in Nova Scotia, to energy project cancellations in Alberta, to the shuttering of forestry mills in my home province of B.C. @ErinOTooleMP understands that one province’s challenges are the nation’s economic concern 1/3 pic.twitter.com/9M1zKnuOns
