Kamloops man arrested for alleged Kelowna robbery

A Kamloops man has been arrested following an alleged robbery at a Kelowna business.

RCMP received a report Wednesday, Feb. 26 shortly after 7 p.m., that a man had entered a business at the Kelowna International Airport and demanded money from the till.

When the money was not produced, the man allegedly threatened the staff, grabbed merchandise and fled the area on foot, Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in a press release.

Frontline officers flooded the area and located the suspect.

"Our front line officers arrested the suspect without incident," Noseworthy said. "Fortunately no one was injured in this robbery."

The suspect, a 40-year-old Kamloops man, faces potential charges and remains in police custody at this time.
