iN VIDEO: 3D rendering shows what Victoria Street West will look like when construction wraps
The Victoria Street West project in Kamloops is on track for completion this summer.
The hydro poles along the corridor will be taken out, pedestrian signals will be installed at the crosswalks in front of The Mustard Seed and Sun Life, and remaining lamp standards will be installed, according to a City of Kamloops media release.
The area will be getting a face-lift with new landscaping, including installation of bricks, ornamental fencing and planting beds.
This month, some lane closures will be in place, and a 30 km/hr speed limit will be in effect 24-hours a day in the construction zone, the City says.
This 3D video rendering shows what it will look like when it's all done.
Temporary bus stops are in place on Victoria Street West near Polar Battery (outbound) and on Seymour Street West across from BCLC’s upper parking lot (inbound).
