Continued snow for Coq
THOMPSON OKANAGAN — Another 15-30 centimetres of snow is expected over the next 24 hours on mountain passes in Southern B.C., coming on the heels of 13 cm at the Coquihalla Summit since yesterday morning.
The summit, currently reporting a snow depth of 102.4 cm, is expecting flurries this morning and then heavy snow at times tonight for a total of 20-30 cm. The Pennask Summit on the Okanagan Connector currently sits at just shy of 80 cm and is expecting another several centimetres of snow starting late this afternoon.
In Kamloops periods of snow will begin later this morning, with about 2 cm expected, while Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton have a 60-70 per cent chance of seeing flurries tonight and a 30-60 per cent chance in the evening through morning. The entire region can expect temperatures to hit just above 0 Celsius today with highs of 8-9 C expected by Monday.
