Vernon RCMP investigate report of shots fired

Vernon RCMP are investigating a report of shots fired on the weekend.

RCMP say officers responded to a report of shots fired just after 12 a.m. Saturday, March 21, in the in the 1700 block of 43 Street.

Evidence was located confirming that shots had been fired, according to an RCMP media release.

"Officers conducted neighbourhood enquiries and spoke to potential witnesses to obtain further information," the release said. "Police have not found any evidence indicating anyone was injured."

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident to call the Vernon RCMP detachment at 250-545-7171 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.nokscrimestoppers.com in reference to Vernon File # 2020-4778.
