Blazers acquire Bellerive from Rebels

KAMLOOPS – The Kamloops Blazers have acquired 19-year-old forward Matt Bellerive and a third round draft pick in 2014 for 19-year-old forward Aspen Sterzer.

Bellerive is into his fourth WHL season and has nine goals, 13 assists and 22 points in 31 games this season with the Rebels. The native of North Vancouver, BC has played in 198 WHL games and has 78 career points.

"Matt will be able to help us immediately playing in all situations," commented General Manager, Craig Bonner. "He has a great shot and we are excited for him to join the organization"

Bellerive is expected to make his Blazers debut on Saturday in Kamloops when the Blazers host the Prince George Cougars.
