POLL: Do you think it’s time for government to vigorously enforce COVID-19 social distancing rules?
We're still seeing people ignoring or being sloppy about what should be very clear rules for social distancing.
We've heard provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry say she has the power to impose penalties on people ignoring those rules and we've heard from a Vernon councillor calling for fines but yet bylaw officers, who are being tasked with policing these rules and efforts in public spaces, are only 'educating' people on the subjects.
We're wondering if you think this is sufficient or if local, provincial and federal governments should be taking a harder line on this with fines or other penalties?
