Temperatures expected to be almost balmy this week in Kamloops

There are a few clouds in the Kamloops forecast this week, but overall residents should be seeing a lot more sun than grey skies.

Today’s sunny weather with a seasonal high of 14 C is expected to be replaced by increasing clouds tonight with a low down to 7 C, according to Environment Canada.

There is a 40 per cent chance of showers overnight, and again tomorrow, under cloudy skies and a high of 14 C once again.

Showers are expected to continue overnight Tuesday, with a low to 5 C, but skies should clear Wednesday morning, with lots of sun continuing through Sunday.

Wednesday’s high of 17 C should rise to a balmy 22 C by Sunday, with mostly sunny conditions Wednesday and Thursday, and a mix of sun and cloud for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Overnight lows are not expected to drop below zero this week.

Kamloops normally sees a high of 17 C and a low of 3 C this time of year.

Meanwhile, back east in Ontario, residents there are being warned of possible flooding along the Lake Erie shoreline as an intense storm brings rain, snow and wind to the province today.

Heavy rain is expected in southern and eastern Ontario, bringing with it strong wind gusts of 70 to 100 km/h which could cause power outages and shoreline flooding.

Parts of Northern Ontario could see 30 to 50 cm of snow through Tuesday, a bulletin from the Weather Network says.
