KELOWNA – A story written for a weekly newspaper in Colorado is getting some love on social media in the Okanagan.
Travel writer Amiee White Beazley has an article in the Aspen Times predicting Kelowna will be the Next Big Thing calling it the Boulder, Colorado of 40 years ago, but with the added bonus of a huge lake.
Beazley gushes over the natural beauty of the Central Okanagan. She cites the historic Kelowna downtown, the mountain biking and hiking trails and the skiing, giving Big White Resort a shout out. She points out Okanagan Lake provides all kinds of opportunities for water sports.
She wraps up her article with the local wine industry and a rave review of West Kelowna's Mission Hill Family Estate Winery.
