Coquihalla Highway closed between Merritt and Hope
The Coquihalla Highway is closed in both directions north of Hope this afternoon.
Drive BC reports a collision between the start of Highway 5 and Highway 97C has resulted in the closure of the route this afternoon, April 21, from Merritt to one kilometre north of Hope, a distance of 108 kilometres.
The road is closed in both directions except for emergency vehicles and major delays are expected.
A medivac has been dispatched to the scene.
There is currently no estimated time of reopening.
