Crews work to assess damage from washout on KVR trail near Summerland
Regional district officials continue to assess the damage from a slide that closed part of the Kettle Valley Rail trail west of Summerland this past weekend.
The debris slide, reported early in the morning on Saturday, April 25, happened near the intersection of Shinish Creek Road and the Princeton-Summerland Road.
A 70 metre section of the KVR trail was washed out and remains closed until further notice, according to a Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen media release.
Signage is in place as crews assess the damage over the next few days.
Princeton-Summerland Road was closed for several hours on the day of the slide.
