Accused in manslaughter of Osoyoos woman granted bail
The man accused of manslaughter in the death of an Osoyoos woman earlier this month has been released on bail.
The B.C. Prosecution Service confirmed today, April 30, Rodney Flavell, 62, was ordered released by Judge Michelle Daneliuk on a $10,000 recognizance and a $2,500 cash deposit. He is subject to a nightly curfew, reporting conditions, restrictions on alcohol consumption and limits on access to or possession of weapons.
Flavell was originally accused of aggravated assault after police were called to a residence at an Osoyoos golf course subdivision late on April 8, where they found Tina Seminara suffering from injuries sustained in an assault. Seminara succumbed to her injuries and Flavell was subsequently charged with manslaughter.
Prosecution Service communications counsel Dan McLaughlin said in an email his next court appearance is scheduled for July 22.
