South Okanagan Similkameen Crime Stoppers says animal statues are becoming a hot commodity amongst thieves in Penticton recently.
The community-based crime reporting agency says a second statue has been reported missing from a Penticton residence following the disappearance of a ram sculpture taken from a Lakeshore Drive location sometime between April 23 and 28.
The second statue is of a lion, weighing 100 lbs., and was taken from the front door steps of a residence on Evergreen Drive last week.
Anyone with information about either statue’s disappearance are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 250-490-2374, or Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300.
