A week of pink skies, fire, fog and fashion

THE WEEK IN PICTURES

KAMLOOPS — It was a mild week weather-wise. It started with pink skies then ended in a dense fog that chilled the air and left streets slippery at night.

Pink skies closed out the day in a sweeping sunset Monday. On Wednesday we woke up to a bright pink and orange in the sky but many parts of the city were quickly blanketed with fog. At McArthur Island Park it was hard to see past mid-field as a persistent fog filled the valley and forecasters are saying we can expect to see the fog stick around through next week.

We visited with Quentin Collier, a young designer working under the label QTC, to see preview the clothing he created for a fashion show he is hosting in two weeks and on Thursday morning neighbours in the Westmount area awoke to a known drug house in flames. Neighbours say they wish the house had completely burned down and hope it is rebuilt into a nice family home.
