Charges laid in fatal car crash

Charges have been laid against a Creston man involved in a two-vehicle fatal collision that occurred Apr. 23, 2011.

The crash happened when a Ford Windstar travelling north on Hwy 97 attempted to turn left from a turning lane across the two southbound lanes, onto Highland Road. The Windstar was intercepted by a Mazda MX-6 heading south on Hwy 97. The Mazda was on the inside lane.
The two vehicles collided "T-bone" style and the passenger of the Windstar, Howard Horning, an 82-year-old Vernon resident, died at the scene.
John Moesker, the diver of the Mazda, is charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death, and appears in court December 13, 2012.

"(The) Crown (is) not taking any action against the second driver," said Gord Molendyk, RCMP spokesperson.
