Lake Country accident sends motorcyclist to hospital

A Friday night accident in Lake Country has sent one motorcyclist to the hospital, according to the district's fire chief.

"The truck was turning into the Tim Hortons parking lot here and the (motorcycle) hit it and the bike slid underneath. The lady driving it hit the side of the pickup and was beside the pickup," said fire chief Steve Windsor.

The accident occurred roughly before 9 p.m., May 15, on Oceola Road and the woman was sent to the hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries, Windsor said.

Emergency crews were on scene.
