VICTORIA – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Victoria Royals 5-3 on Saturday night in Victoria, closing out a six game road trip with four wins and two losses.
Myles Bell scored twice for the Rockets and Jordon Cooke was solid in net as the Rockets improved to 37-6-0-2 on the season.
Bell's 26th and 27th goals of the season opened the scoring for the Rockets. Newly acquired Marek Tvrdon also had his first goal as a member of the Rockets while Mitch Wheaton and Rourke Chartier also scored.
The Rockets will head back to Kelowna on Sunday and prepare for three home games this week at Prospera Place.
Kelowna hosts Everett on Wednesday, Medicine Hat on Friday and Lethbridge on Saturday.
