Kamloops men arrested in Merritt break and enter

Two Kamloops men have been arrested after they broke into a Merritt home.

Last night the Merritt RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter in progress at a home on Jackson Avenue.

Within minutes, police were on the scene and arrested two men from Kamloops.

The investigation that followed led to the seizure of weapons including brass knuckles, batons and an assault-style rifle with a high-capacity ammunition magazine clip, Merritt RCMP said in a news release.

The identity of the men has not been released. Police continue to investigate.
