
Kelowna firefighters battle RV blaze
Kelowna firefighters battled a vehicle fire near the intersection of Highway 97 and Mills Road this afternoon.
At approximately 1 p.m. today, June 16, firefighters called to the vehicle fire and found an RV on fire along the side of the road, according a Kelowna Fire Department news release.
No one was inside at the time of the fire, according to the RV's owner.
Power and cable lines above the RV were damaged, but crews were able to put out the fire. A FortisBC crew was called to disconnect power.
RCMP officers and B.C. Ambulance Service paramedics also responded to the blaze.
