KAMLOOPS – Several arrests were made in Kamloops today with the aid of the South East District Emergency Response Team.
Const. Jason Epp says the arrests were made today, Jan. 30, as part of an ongoing investigation. The response team was brought in because it was believed weapons were present which elevated the risk to the public and police.
An RCMP helicopter was seen circling the city late in the afternoon and through the evening. Epp says the operation was stood down at 8:30 p.m. and there is no further risk to the public.
