For 2nd day, fewer than 10 COVID-19 cases reported in B.C.

There were no new COVID-19 cases detected in the Interior Health region in the last day and only seven new cases in B.C.

That’s the second consecutive day that there have been less than 10 cases in B.C., with eight cases having been announced yesterday, June 18, according to a media release.

There were also no new deaths reported in today’s joint news release from provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix.

That brings the total number of positive cases in B.C. to 2,790, with 178 cases still being active, 2,444 people who have fully recovered and 168 who have died.

Eleven people are in hospital with the disease, six of whom are in intensive care.

There have been 952 cases of COVID-19 in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 1,446 in Fraser Health, 130 in Island Health, 197 in Interior Health and 65 in the Northern Health region.
