UPDATE: Power restored to 1,800 Lake Country homes

Power has been restored to more than 1,800 Lake Country homes that were left in the dark this morning.

The outage was reported at 8 a.m. today, June 25, according to B.C. Hydro.

The outage comes only days after an outage in West Kelowna left more than 2,000 hydro customers without electricity.

The outage impacted 1,808 customers south of Old Stamp Mill Road and north of Hebbert Road.

This story was updated at 12:30 p.m. as the power has been restored.
