Counting Crows ‘Hanginaround’ Kelowna this spring

KELOWNA – Counting Crows will be stopping in Kelowna for a concert this spring as a part of the band’s world tour to support their new album Somewhere Under Wonderland.

The band hasn’t toured Canada in over 15 years.

“It’s about time we’re getting back to Canada,” lead singer Adam Duritz says in a media release. “After requesting it for years, we are finally getting a legit chance to play across the country. I can’t wait.”

The band has sold over 20 million albums since their multiplatinum debut record Everything After back in 1993.

The concert at Prospera Place is on Wednesday, Apr. 29. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 6. Ticket prices range from $63, $73, $93 and $113 including taxes and service charges. Counting Crows kick off their tour in Vancouver at the Orpheum on Apr. 28 and will be visiting cities across North America, Europe and Australia.

Folk rockers Twin Forks will be opening for the Crows on the world tour. Their self-titled debut album was released in February 2014.
