North Okanagan man killed in crash on forest service road

Police are investigating following the death of a 56-year-old driver in a single-vehicle crash last night on a forest service road outside of Cherryville in the North Okanagan.

According to a Vernon-North Okanagan RCMP media release, emergency crews responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision shortly before 6 p.m. yesterday, July 16.

The collision took place on a forest service road near Cherryville and claimed the life of the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle.

RCMP say the deceased is believed to be from the Creighton Valley area and was 56 years old. His identity has not been released.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing and police say no more information will be released.
