VALEMOUNT – The B.C. Coroners Service has identified a Vernon man killed in a crash with a semi-truck near Valemount January 23.
He was 53-year-old Ewen Craig McDonald.
A media release from the coroner says McDonald was in a pickup truck heading south on Highway 5 when he collided with the semi-truck, about 18 kilometres north of blue River at Bone Creek, just after 5 p.m. McDonald was dead at the scene.
Road conditions were noted to be poor when the accident happened, with heavy slush.
McDonald's family has been notified of his death. The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
