RCMP investigating after woman assaulted in Lake Country

Lake Country RCMP are investigating after a woman was assaulted by two suspects last week.

RCMP say the woman was walking alone at roughly 10 p.m. July 19, on a gravel trail in the 10600 block of Okanagan Centre Road West when two suspects allegedly grabbed her from behind.

She suffered minor injuries to her face and neck before managing to fight them off and flee, according to the RCMP in a news release.

One attacker was described as wearing wearing dark shorts and a dark hoodie and the other was dressed in all dark clothing.

The Lake Country RCMP is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the detachment at 250-766-2288 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving a tip online here.
