The Kingpin Crew motorcycle club has vacated their old clubhouse on Hwy 97 and relocated to a temporary site within a block of a Kelowna elementary school.
Staff Sgt. Kris Clark says the RCMP have been fielding complaints from concerned residents since the club settled in two weeks ago. The new club is at the corner of Casorso Road and Gordon Drive.
It's a quiet neighbourhood says Clark and the presence of the club quickly fused community concerns.
"We're very aware of who belongs to these groups and what kind of activities they're into," says Clark. "We want to ensure residents that we're watching these events closely and will take advantage of any enforcement opportunity."
Clark says generally speaking, the club is known for crimes related to drugs and violence. He says last year police dismantled a stolen auto ring linked to the club.
