POLL: How busy is summer tourism this year?
We normally wouldn't ask a question like this, but this isn't a normal year.
With COVID-19, few of us would have bet on their expectations for summer tourism, but now that summer is upon us we are curious what you are seeing out there. Are streets and traffic busier than past summers? Are there fewer floaties on the river channels? How about the competition for local camping sites? What about boats on the water, about the same as any other summer?
There are obvious implications as Kelowna deals with the first real outbreak of COVID-19 in the Interior, brought into the city by tourists and travelling fast, spoiling our otherwise stellar response to the epidemic. We'll get into that more in another question, but for now we'll keep it simple.
