A volunteer forestry group aiming to rid the Central Okanagan woods of illegally dumped trash will have an easier time catching dumpers thanks to a donation.

Big White Ski Resort has donated $2,000 to the Okanagan Forest Task Force, which will be used to install cameras to catch illegal dumpers, according to a post by the group's founder Kane Blake on Facebook.

"With their donation and proud support we will be able to put many more cams in the bush and have more people fined. Huge thank you to Big White for their support and new friendship," Blake wrote.

The donation will be used to install cameras in the Central Okanagan.

The forest task force has been installing cameras in the bush using money from volunteer's own pockets thus far to catch illegal dumpers.
