Vehicle in Kamloops found stripped of tires on Westsyde Road

A Kamloops resident came across a an scene this morning — a sports car in a rural area missing all four tires with two windows smashed in.

The vehicle was parked on the side Westsyde Road near Privato Winery, with the drivers door and the trunk left open.

Inside the car are some exposed wires on the driver's side, but no personal belongings in sight.

Ben Beach said the vehicle was fully intact yesterday, July 30. He estimates the damage was done between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m.

This is not the first time tires have been stolen off vehicles in Kamloops, and police have warned residents in the past.

Photos of the vehicle were posted to a Facebook Westsyde community group, and several locals commented that the vehicle had been parked in that location for several days.

The Kamloops RCMP is investigating, and have yet to find the owner of the vehicle.

"It does appear to be a mischief and a potential theft from the vehicle," Sgt. Brian O'Callaghan said.

"It doesn't appear that it was stolen at this pint in time."
