Penticton motel sign turns heads before coming down

A cheeky sign outside a Penticton motel prompted chuckles, raised eyebrows and, in some cases, the ire of those who came across it.

The message outside the classic style motel on Lakeshore Drive, read; “Have your next affair here.”

When it made its way to social media courtesy of Nikita Kiceluk, some had a chuckle at the seemingly naughty nature of the message.

Some said they thought it to be mistakenly salacious.

Others said they felt it to be very inappropriate.

Regardless, it had hundreds of shares and the commentary flowed freely.

Concern about the message ultimately made its way to the motel and the sign is no more.

Front desk staff said that the message was taken down in short order after hearing some community concerns.

A request to speak to management has yet to be returned.
