UPDATE: Highway 97 in Peachland reopens after head-on crash

PEACHLAND – Four people were taken by ambulance to Kelowna General Hospital Sunday morning following a head-on crash on Highway 97 in Peachland.

All four victims are in serious condition according to Lisa Pilling with B.C. Emergency Health Services. Pilling couldn’t release any information about the genders or ages due to patient privacy laws.

The crash happened at about 10:05 a.m. between Todd Road and Trepanier Bench Road. Along with the two cars that hit head-on, a third vehicle was also involved.

Highway 97 reopened to traffic at about 11:30 a.m.

No word what caused the accident.

West Kelowna RCMP are investigating.
