Passengers on 57 Canadian flights may have been exposed to COVID-19 this month

Canadians who have been flying this month should stay updated with the Government of Canada’s website for confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The Government of Canada has listed 30 international and 27 domestic flights that carried COVID-19 infected passengers since Aug. 7. Information is removed from the website after 14 days as this is the quarantine period for those who may have been exposed.

The government said passengers who may have been in close contact with any of the impacted rows on the planes may be at risk of exposure.

If you think you were exposed, the Public Health officials say you must quarantine or self-isolate for 14 days.

“If you are a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, Public Health contacts you directly to let you know. In cases where not everyone can be reached, Regional Health Authorities are posting public exposure information online,” according to the government website.
