
New Okanagan transit route has connections to Vancouver, Calgary
The Okanagan is about to become better connected by bus.
Kaslo-based Mountain Man Mike’s Transportation Service announced on its Facebook page this week it will connect Kelowna, Westbank, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Kaleden, Okanagan Falls, Oliver, and Osoyoos to pre-existing Vancouver, Nelson and Calgary runs starting Sept. 16, 2020.
The new Kelowna bus, known as Gimli, is now open to bookings.
Service to Kelowna will be two return trips per week on an eco-friendly bus that uses recycled restaurant frying oil for fuel.
