Kelowna woman $50,000 richer after Keno win
A Kelowna woman has won $50,000 playing Keno.
Donna Maruszczak got a surprise when she recently checked her Aug. 13, Keno ticket purchased at the Kelowna Husky Market on Harvey Avenue, according to a B.C. Lottery Corporation media release.
She checked her ticket at the Capri Centre Mall when the winning message popped up, but it wasn’t until later when she was claiming her prize using B.C. Lottery Corporation’s alternate prize-claim process, she learned she’d won $50,000.
Maruszczak says she’s “ecstatic” about the win and plans to take her family on a vacation when it’s safe to travel again.
