Two Oliver residents charged with property crimes following RCMP raid

A man and a woman are facing charged after police found stolen property during a search of a property in Oliver last week.

Oliver RCMP with Police Dog Services executed a warrant at a home on Road 15 in Oliver on April 15, according to a press release from police.

During the search officers found stolen property including motorcycles, construction material, farm equipment, a firearm and ammunition.

David James O’Brien, 48, and Yanni Gagnon, 36, live on the property, which is well known to police, and have been charged with possession of stolen property. O’Brien has also been charged with possession of ammunition while prohibited.

“The South Okanagan RCMP detachments continue to tackle property crime in the area and will use all measures available to us to bring those responsible before the courts,” Oliver RCMP Sgt. Laurie Rock said in the release.
