Tailgating driver causes accident

KELOWNA – A driver was ticketed for tailgating after his white SUV crashed into the back of a small car on Leathead Road shortly after 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say the impact of the accident sent the car half a block into a residential laneway.

The driver of the SUV tells police he was distracted by a vehicle that was pulling onto Leathead from Asher Road.

He was ticketed for following too closely.

The cars driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
