Customer with COVID-19 reported at Kamloops mall

A person with COVID-19 shopped at the Kamloops Aberdeen Mall earlier this month, prompting mall management to send out a warning.

A customer with the virus was in the mall Sept. 18, and has been advised by Interior Health to remain in isolation and not return to the building until medically cleared to do so, reads a memo addressed to mall tenants, Sept. 26.

The mall was provided with the information of the COVID-19 case by Interior Health, according to the memo.

The affected areas in the building have been disinfected, and increase cleaning by janitorial staff is occurring at common touchpoint areas, according to the memo.

Aberdeen Mall was not immediately available for comment.
