Kamloops cops make one arrest and seize more than a dozen guns
Kamloops RCMP made one arrest and seized guns, vehicles and drugs in a raid in Aberdeen Tuesday.
Kamloops RCMP officers alongside members of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on Sifton Avenue on May 20, according to a press release from police.
The search was part of a firearms investigation by the Crime Reduction Unit and the response team was called in since the guns made it a potentially dangerous operation.
Police seized more than a dozen guns, a “significant amount” of suspected drugs, stolen property and vehicles.
Officers made one arrest but the person was later released as part of the ongoing investigation. RCMP said it expects to recommend charges.
Anyone with information about this investigation has been asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000.
