Graduating from college or university is one of the proudest moments for a parent, and for graduates it might be a little bit anti-climactic and the moment they realize they actually have to look for a job in the field they studied.
Check out some stats for graduates in Kamloops and the Okanagan.
- 1,000: Students graduated from Okanagan College earlier this month.
- 6: Okanagan College graduation ceremonies were spread around the region including Kelowna, Vernon, Salmon Arm and Penticton.
- 2,600: Students graduated from UBC Okanagan, the largest graduating class in the campus’ 20 year history.
- 137: Programs at UBCO.
- 26,690: Degrees have been handed out by UBCO since 2006.
- 1.6 million: Square centimetres of paper were needed to make the diplomas for UBCO’s graduates this year.
- 1,630: Student gowns and robes for this year’s Thompson Rivers University graduates.
