Penticton city councillor James Miller is still awaiting trial on historic sex crimes charges.
He remains an innocent man.
But that doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences — and costs to taxpayers as Miller stubbornly collects a paycheque for a job he’s on paid leave for. Just in case you have forgotten, or haven’t been keeping score, we tallied up a few numbers.

- 28,524: Dollars was Miller’s salary for 2024.
- 35: Years ago is when the alleged sex crimes took place.
- 11: Sex crime accusations have been levied at Miller. He hasn’t been convicted of any of them.

- 1: Opportunity for Miller to do the right thing and resign. If he’s not convicted, he could always run again.
