Missing bunny: Mom hoping for miracle return of stuffy lost in Penticton
A Calgary family lost a precious item when they attended a tournament in Penticton over a month ago but haven’t lost hope of retrieving it.
Odessa Underhill’s five-year-old daughter has carried her stuffed bunny with her ever since she was born.
“For my daughter, it’s her everything, and honestly it’s my everything, too,” she said. “We have since bought a replacement bunny but it’s just not the same. She has had it since she was born, and has taken it everywhere with her. It’s been to Mexico, to Saskatchewan, and all over Alberta.”
The stuffed bunny went missing during the family’s weekend at the Barn Burner Lacrosse Tournament in early June, and could have been lost at either the Penticton Memorial Arena on Power Street or the Farmers Market on Main Street.
On July 13, more than a month since the toy was lost, a kind community member spotted the bunny on a post on Martin Street across from Gyro Park and submitted a photo of it to a local Facebook group. Underhill reached out to community members to retrieve it, but the bunny is no longer there.
“I had given up all hope when we lost her, but then she was spotted just recently,” Underhill said. “I’m hoping a kid picked it up and travelled with it a bit or something, who knows, I just hope she’s out there somewhere.”

Anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stuffed bunny is asked to call Underhill at 403-903-3941, who is offering a $100 reward for it.
“I’d trip back to pick it up,” she said. “That bunny means everything to us and I’d be so grateful if she was found.”
