Vernon RCMP on hunt for violent offender

Police are asking for help from the public to locate a violent offender who missed his court date.

Vernon RCMP are searching for Roy Albert Andrew, 27, who failed to appear in court Oct. 15, according to an RCMP media release.

Andrew is facing several charges including assault, uttering threats and mischief. 

He is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and blue eyes. He is 5'11" tall and weighs 198 lbs. 

Police are urging the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend Andrew as he is considered violent.

Anyone with information about Andrew or where he might be is asked to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
