It is hard to understand how anyone could be so brutal to an old man as pain-ridden as my brother was just for the sake of a truck. Shame on Visintainer for such horrible cowardly behavior. He deserves to be punished to the full extent of the law. My brother had a difficult life and did not remotely deserve to die like that.

You know what I like about iNFOnews? The model and moderation of the comments for articles. Both you and Castanet share relevant news in a newsy way that works well enough but Castanet attaches comments to each article without moderation (without reasonable moderation anyway) and every single time it’s just filled with vile, angry, ignorant, bigoted bullshit. I might not see the comments on your articles right away but at least when they are published they are decent and often insightful. Castanet’s garbage is never decent and rarely insightful. Their moderation is as useful as a steamy pile of vomit on a birthday cake.

Didn’t he end up using that space because (Councillor Bill Sarai) recorded him within the mayor’s office? Not only that, Bill messed with the recording to really add paranoia cropping out his own voice, having the mayor think the office was tapped.

The biggest danger to local politicians remains Bill Sarai. He’s the biggest danger to the people of Kamloops and the Corporation we call our municipal government. McCorkell needs to be fired immediately for not pressing charges against Sarai.

iN DISCUSSION: Rats. So many rats

I think something should be done about the terrible infestation of these disease-carrying rodents, unfortunately until someone on council has the issue at their residence you can be assured nothing will happen. They are only interested in what affects them directly.
We live in downtown Kelowna and our garden is being eaten up by these things. We have items out to deter them, however that only works part of the time.
As the council has not stood up for the people at Hadgraft-Wilson Place, I think you can be assured they won’t do anything about  the rat problem. All we can do is replace the council and mayor at the next election!

Millions are flocking to grow virtual gardens in viral Roblox game created by teenager

I play the game with my 8 yr old and 12 year old. We have a lot of fun with it and have had some tears and learning moments. My 8yr old had someone say they would trade with him but ended up taking his item and leaving leaving him in tears. (There’s now a new trading ticket to prevent that.) He has lied to get free items by saying he was a YouTuber making a video. We had a discussion about lying. He is learning about about the value of items and enjoys collecting money (last count was somewhere in the trillions of sheckles).

RE: Our Aug. 6 newsletter editorial on artificial intelligence

I feel that AI is dangerous. Instead of people saying “Google it” we now hear “AI said” and just like autocorrect. people don’t spell anymore because autocorrect will do it. So we lost our skills and ability to do our own editing. The same I feel is occurring with AI and people will be less likely to actually think for themselves and will rely on AI. AI like water will change the course of things in a stream the water will flow. Same with people they will use less brain power and rely without question on someone else’s interpretation from AI.
