Police have arrested a wanted man in the Kamloops area.
Kevin James Beattie, who was wanted on charges of possession of a weapon while prohibited, possession of ammunition while prohibited, theft under $5,000 and driving while suspended, was arrested in Kamloops Oct. 30, according to an RCMP media release.
Beattie was arrested in a vehicle stop on 8 Street without incident, and officers who searched his vehicle found a sawed off shot gun, a scope, several rounds of shotgun ammunition and a digital scale with drug residue on it.
Beattie is expected to appear in court to face further charges.
